Thank you for trusting us with this deeply personal moment. This form helps us provide compassionate, respectful care for your pet and support you through it.
Get Started →Once you and your family have made this decision, ideally before or at the time of your appointment. There's no rush — take the time you need, and our team is here to answer any questions first if that helps.
Making this decision is never easy, and we want you to feel informed and supported. You'll have a private room to spend as much time as you need with your pet — feel free to bring a blanket or favourite toy from home.
Once you're ready, our team places a small IV catheter (this can take a few extra minutes for very small, weak, or unwell pets), then gives a gentle sedative so your pet becomes calm and sleepy — this usually takes a few minutes. You're welcome to say your goodbyes once they're settled, or stay through to the end. The final medication works quickly and peacefully, usually within one to two minutes; it's normal for a pet's eyes to stay partly open or for small muscle movements to happen afterward — this doesn't mean any pain is felt. Our veterinarian confirms with a stethoscope once your pet has passed.
Take all the time you need afterward. We'll handle the arrangements with our cremation partner according to the preference you select above, and you'll receive a follow-up email with options for keepsakes if you've chosen private cremation.
